Join the thousands of visitors who have experienced the Ultimate Ride with Challenge Unlimited. Your 20 mile downhill adventure from the summit of the world's most famous mountain...Pikes Peak, will stay in your memories long after your vacation is over. The trip begins at Challenge Unlimited's office at 204 S. 24th Street, where participants will be greeted by our enthusiastic bike guides who will have them sign release forms, feed them breakfast, and fit them with helmets.

Cycling Pikes Peak, Colorado
You will be loaded up in our fifteen passenger vans and head for the summit of Pikes Peak (14,110 feet). Once on the summit the guides will give you detailed instructions on biking and riding safety. Off we go... As we descend down the mountain, we will pass through five different life zones, each zone having a different climate, different vegetation and wildlife. Keep your eyes open for eagles, deer, elk, Rocky Mountain Big Horn sheep, black bears, marmots, and an occasional mountain lion. Your descent will take two-and-a-half to three hours. The ride finishes at the world-famous "Wines of Colorado," where you will be served lunch. PLEASE REFER TO FAQ FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

Departures: Weather depending!!!
This tour runs seven days a week beginning May 1 and runs through October 31. Morning ride begins at 6:45 AM, returning at approximately 12:00 pm. Sunset ride begins at 2:00 PM returning at 7:00 PM. May/September/October trips only run once a day departing either at 8:00 am, returning by 1:30 PM, or departing at 12:30 pm, returning at 5:30 PM. (Please call to confirm these off-season times.) Sunset ride runs only if you are a preformed group of at least five riders and, of course, the weather is good. **We highly recommend the morning ride because of weather and traffic.

Limited to 35 per trip. Arrangements for larger groups must be made well in advance.

Rating:
Easy, altitude is the only consideration.
People with any chronic illnesses should not do this ride because of the altitude.

$120.00 per person
$105.00 with three or more
$90.00 for 15 or more

PM Ride:

$95.00 per person with five or more riders.

Price Includes:
All transportation, 2010/2011 Jamis mountain bikes, all with rock shock front suspension forks, advanced mega-nine LX rapid fire shifting, disc brakes and 27 speeds, all weather gear, helmets, van support, experienced mountain bike guides, permits, tolls, safety equipment, breakfast and lunch (AM Ride) snacks (PM Ride), and a souvenir water bottle.

Any Group of 10 or more will get the AM Ride for $90.00 per person and the PM Ride for $80.00. Military Discount: $95.00 per person, all inclusive.
